2007 Assembly
May 31 - June 2, 2007

The 2007 Minneapolis Area Synod Assembly was held on May 31 – June 2, 2007 at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota. Our theme, Growing This Church Together: Lutherans Read the Bible focused on both the Lutheran history of Biblical interpretation of the Bible as well as how a Lutheran perspective helps us discern current issues in our church. Bishop Craig Johnson was re-elected as Bishop on the first ballot with 80% of the votes. Michelle Reichow of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, East Bethel was elected as Synod Vice President.

Bishop Election Information

One of the business items at this year's assembly was the election of the bishop. Bishop Craig Johnson was re-elected on the first ballot with 80.1% of the vote. 75% was needed to be elected on the first ballot.
