2008 Assembly
April 18 and 19, 2008

The 2008 Minneapolis Area Synod Assembly was held April 18 – 19 at St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Eden Prairie. Under the banner of “A New Creation: Fit for Mission,” the assembly emphasized areas needed for healthy leaders, healthy congregations, and a healthy greater church. With only three resolutions to address, time was give to the essential business of the church – working to achieve God’s mission in the world. There was time for guided discussion on topics dealing with health and wellness, speakers shared stories about the work of the church and a video was presented that focused on the importance of listening to one another and God. Through presentations on the synod’s inreach, participants were given opportunities to listen to one another’s’ stories and then hear about how this is taking place throughout the synod.
