Plugged in and Recharged!

More than 750 leaders gathered at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church in Mahtomedi to celebrate and be “recharged” for ministry with children and youth at the 7th annual Recharge event. Participants laughed, learned, sang and shared. Workshops, inspirational speakers, and worship provided resources, refreshment and reassurance. Congregational groups of dedicated volunteers came from all over the metro area to attend. Several traveled from greater Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa and even Colorado.

Ministry in today’s culture with children, youth and families can be daunting. Church staffs can’t do this work alone. Recharge is an event designed especially for the volunteers who help with the day-to-day faith formation ministry with kids. The event is made possible through a collaborative partnership of organizations, including the Minneapolis Area Synod.
