Famine. Last year nearly $100,000 was raised for World
Vision and Feed My Starving Children. Over 300,000 meals
were packaged for Feed My Starving Children!

Cities II Quake

Quakes (grades 6-9) are designed to build faith in Jesus Christ
and caring Christian community through awesome biblical
speakers, great Christian music, intense small group sessions,
confidence-boosting opportunities, and fun youth group building
activities. There are two Twin Cities Quakes - November and

Equipping Leaders for Children's Ministries
When:
March 1, 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. with a break for lunch on your
own from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m.

Fees: $35 per session, $70 for all day Limited number of
scholarships for $10 per session available to those from the

Morning session: Rotation Sunday School: An
Introduction. Presenter: Pat Derry
What is Rotation Sunday School? How do I get started? What are
the benefits and challenges? Where do I find resources? What
is working in other congregations?
Afternoon Session: Rotation Sunday School: Idea Sharing
Description: Discuss Rotation Sunday School in depth with a
panel of four people currently using this model in their
congregations. Engage in idea sharing and networking.
Facilitator: Pat Derry
Pat Derry, AiM, has over 12 years of experience in the field of
Children's Ministry. She serves as Director of Family and
Children's Education at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church in
Mahtomedi. Pat is passionate about the rotation model for Sunday
School.
Auggie
Service Day 2007

As friends of the
Augsburg College Department of Campus Ministry, we would like
each of you to consider participating in Auggie Service Day 2007
on Saturday, March 3, 2007 at Augustana Lutheran
in
Minneapolis,
Minnesota.
Auggie Service Day (ASD) is an annual event in which
Augsburg
students, Twin Cities area church youth and leaders, and Twin
Cities area service organizations come together through Faith to
Serve. Participants begin the Day with an
Augsburg
student-lead worship in our Hoversten Chapel. Church youth and
Augsburg
students are then sent out into the community to serve others at
a variety of Service-Learning sites. Participants end their day
with small group discussion of their experience and a closing
worship.

Train the Trainer Event - "Safeguarding
Our Children,"

the beauty of Camp Onomia and explore more of what it means
to be servants in this world. As Peer Ministers in
training, you’ll spend time laughing, sharing, and learning
about the many ways you can make a difference. You will
develop skills allowing you to better communicate with those
around you and help those in need. We will offer Peer I and
Peer II sessions for those just beginning Peer Ministry and
those who have already received some training.
